Yasaman Mehrsa is a Toronto-based visual artist. Born and raised in Iran, Yasaman has been devoted to art from an early age. She earned (BA in Visual Communication & Graphic Design) from Iran, and (BA-Honours in Visual Arts) from Brock University/Canada.
Yasaman uses both digital and traditional mediums. She works on a wide variety of projects including illustrations, designs, murals, public arts, and paintings.
Yasaman’s work is representative of the relationship between humans and nature. Inspired by nature, she creates whimsical and vibrant art and expresses different emotions to inspire her audiences to discover their imagination, emotion, interaction and relationship with the natural environment. Yasaman puts creative ideas at the very heart of everything she does, striving to create outstanding work that is distinctive, engaging and above all, memorable. She conveys a story or invokes a certain emotion in each of her works. Her purpose is to emanate good vibes and energy through her art.
When not making art, she enjoys dancing, yoga, photography, reading, and being an adventurer!
Beyond her artistic endeavours, she has taken on roles as a mentor and instructor, guiding and inspiring junior artists, art students, and community members in their creative journeys.
