Yasaman Mehrsa is a Toronto-based visual artist. Born and raised in Iran, Yasaman has been devoted to art from an early age. She earned (BA in Visual Communication & Graphic Design) from Iran, and (BA-Honours in Visual Arts) from Brock University/Canada. Yasaman uses both digital and traditional mediums. She works on a wide variety of projects including illustrations, designs, public arts, and paintings. Yasaman’s work is representative of the relationship between humans and nature. She believes that nature is both all around us and deep within us. She produces a fantasy world that emerges her audience to wonder and keep them wanting to discover their imagination, emotion, interaction and relationship with the natural environment. Yasaman puts creative ideas at the very heart of everything she does, striving to create outstanding work that is distinctive, engaging and above all, memorable. She conveys a story or invokes a certain emotion in each of her works. Her purpose is to emanate good vibes and energy through her art. When not making art, she enjoys dancing, yoga, photography, reading, and being an adventurer! Yasaman has become an active public artist and muralist since 2018. Her goal is to inspire those who see her work to look more carefully at the world around them and discover beauty in unusual places through art. She is the founder of @moonlight.murals.collective
